Shaq's public diss ends up on TMZ.com and YouTube
Anthony Augustine

Shaq Disses Kobe
tinyurl.com/53spdz - As every diehard basketball fan knows, there is no love lost between former Lakers' big man Shaquille O'Neal and current superstar Kobe Bryant. While there has always been tension in the air, nobody knew just how much animosity there was between the former teammates until Shaq jumped onstage at a New York club and dropped this freestyle, dissing Kobe and poking fun at the fact that Kobe couldn't pull the trigger in the NBA finals without him. Although Shaq has come out and said the hard-hitting rap was all in good fun, the only reason he probably came forward was because it showed up on gossip megasite TMZ.com. Remixes and spoofs have already popped up on YouTube.

Street Soccer
tinyurl.com/3oww8p - If you didn't OD on 'the beautiful game' during the recent Euro Cup (is that even possible?), this ultra-slick street-soccer video from public prankster-turned-striker Remi Gaillard should tide you over until you give in and watch a Toronto FC match on CBC. If you thought Ronaldo had some skills, Gaillard does his best to show you that you don't need to be on the pitch to score spectacular goals.

Pitchfork Festival Sampler
tinyurl.com/4prydm - Even if you aren't heading to Chicago for July 18 to 20 to catch the third annual Pitchfork Music Festival, you can still hear some of the 40 acts scheduled to perform at the three-day event. This free sampler from e-music features cuts from acts such as Mission of Burma (Academy Fight Song), Fuck Buttons (Bright Tomorrow), Dinosaur Jr (Almost Ready) and Dizzee Rascal (Sirens).

Quick Hits

Toneshared
www.toneshared.com - Need a unique ring tone to separate yourself from the herd? Toneshared is a recently launched free site that features one-of-a-kind ring tones developed by underground electronic artists such as Caribou, Luomo, Pole and Atom Heart.

Rod Bailey aka mcenroe: Edge of Town
vimeo.com/1214736 - The Peanuts & Corn crew have always understood the power of the video. Even before videos were given new life on video-sharing sites, you could always count on interesting performances from mcenroe, Pip Skid and Hunnicutt. In a daring departure from his former Prairie hip hop sound, mcenroe takes his new single, Edge of Town, in a totally new direction with this innovative self-directed video.

Pip Skid: Pip's Kid
www.vimeo.com/936867 - In-your-face MC Pat Skene's new clip for his single, Pip's Kid, featuring Black 'n' Roll, will be the best thing you've seen all week (maybe even all month) and has more Oscar-worthy performances than Michael Clayton. Download his free EP from the Peanuts & Corn site if you haven't already.
